Farms is proud to announce our purchase
of Peruvian Marriott from Magical Farms
and Western Reserve. He is the son of
Peruvian Kilimanjaro and the grandson of
Accoyo Peruvian Caligula, owned by
Pacific Crest Alpacas and Mary's
Alpacas. Marriott represents a unique
opportunity to add West Coast genetics
to your herd - the Kilimanjaro /
Caligula line is hard to come by on the
East Coast. Marriott's sire,
Kilimanjaro, produces wonderful
award-winning crias in a wide range of
colors including true black, and we
anticipate that Marriott will do the
same. He has settled his first females
and is well on his way to making his
mark on the alpaca industry. Marriott's
fleece is dense and the character
exhibits tight crimping. His fleece
color is a light fawn or dark beige,
depending on your perspective and the
lighting! In any lighting, however, his
fleece is awesome and his conformation
is excellent. As you can see from his
picture, he has outstanding coverage and
presence with a beautiful head. He has
taken home top honors including a
reserve championship from the world's
largest alpaca shows including the 2002
AOBA National Show, MAPACA Jubilee,
Kentucky Classic, and Virginia Classic.
Marriott's crias will be eligible to
compete in the Magical Farms/Ameripaca
Breeder's Choice Futurity.

With
the stock market on a perpetual slide,
many people are looking for ways to
diversify their investment portfolio.
Did you know that the most affluent
segments of the U.S. typically weather a
bear market better than the little guys?
Why? Because the are diversified across
non-traditional investments.
The time has never been better to have
faith in the U.S. Alpaca Industry. The
number of U.S. alpaca breeders is
growing exponentially. From just 300
members a few short years ago, our
numbers are up 1,000% to 3,000. We have
hundreds of thousands of unique visitors
a year coming to www.alpacainfo.com.
Many farms are beginning to see
substantial income from their farms
stores. AOBA has some excellent
marketing with a new series of
commercials, a new video to educate
potential breeders, a new contract with
Ingram Publishing to carry Alpaca
Magazines in bookstores across the
country, and a newly designed website to
launch in the next few weeks. The
momentum of years of hard work to
increase alpaca awareness with the
public is just beginning to take effect,
but I believe we are just at the tip of
the proverbial iceberg.
Now is also a great time to take
advantage of our Prime +1 interest rate
financing. With the recent cut in
interest rates, you can finance your
alpaca purchase 5.25% over 4 years. Your
tax advantages alone could
counterbalance your investment. Buy now,
and you can begin to see your tax
advantages in 2002. What are you waiting
for? The time has never been better than
right now!
