The Herdsire Showcase 2008 is a prime opportunity to promote your huacaya and suri herdsires to a wide national audience. This is a great way to showcase your top herdsires. Breeders can view some of the top impact genetics currently working in the U.S. today and make their breeding selections for the year. It is a great educational and quality awareness venue for alpaca breeders to showcase their top foundation animals and their breeding programs. Often, once an animal retires from the show ring, they are not seen again in person except on the farm. This allows a large audience of breeders to evaluate conformation, coverage, density, size and fleece characteristics. This is the most comprehensive and cost effective way to promote your foundation animals in the industry today. Program Benefits * Listing in the BelleauWood Select Auction and The Herdsire Showcase catalog with distribution to the AOBA membership. It will be mailed to the AOBA membership in November 2008 and distributed at the auction and show. * NO DESIGN LAYOUT NEEDED – JUST UPLOAD DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOS. * The catalog will be tabbed alphabetically by farm name. Your herdsires will be listed together, and the catalog will be an excellent reference material to hand out at your farm. * 10 complimentary copies of the catalog per male entered. * Opportunity to purchase additional copies for distribution to your customers. * Display stall at The Herdsire Showcase in a high profile location of the venue. Foundation animals can be entered in the Carolina Classic Show if desired (fill in the show entry information to register them). * Ability to generate breeding bookings at the event. * Auction lots will cross-reference The Herdsire Showcase – so if your foundation animal is the sire, dam, or service sire of an auction lot, the promotional benefits are even greater. * December is a perfect month for your foundation animal to safely travel and be on display. It is also a prime time for farms to book their Spring breedings. * It is not required that you have a consignment in the auction or attend the event to participate in The Herdsire Showcase 2008. You and your animals don’t have to be present at the auction and show to participate in the print portions of the program. * We reserve the right to turn down any animal. * The Herdsire Showcase Catalog Listing (we provide listing layout) JUST REDUCED TO $350. You don't have to be present or have a stall to participate in this. * Stall at The Herdsire Showcase 2008 (health requirements same as show animals). Stall can be used for animal display or a farm display. $225 (maximum 2 adults per stall). You must participate in the publication to get a stall in The Herdsire Showcase area.
